Essential risk management strategies for practice owners

For doctors who own, or are looking to own, a practice as well as healthcare company directors, it’s essential to learn and apply sound governance skills. Poor, or non-existent governance skills can adversely impact your business, its patients and employees.

That’s why Avant and PracticeHub have created a webinar series on the duties and risks for practice owners.

The third webinar in our Duties and Risks for practice owners series - Essential risk management strategies for practice owners, features Governance Institute of Australia General Manager – Policy and Advocacy, Catherine Maxwell, practice management specialist and Principal Consultant at Medical Business Services, Riwka Hagen, and Chief Medical Officer of Better Medical, Dr Colin Goodson. They will discuss ways to implement essential risk management strategies in your practice, including:

  • establishing a risk management framework and risk-aware culture
  • a holistic, practice-wide approach to implementing risk management
  • how to assess if your risk management processes are working
  • how to stay on top of emerging risks that can impact your practice (e.g. cyber and reputation risks).
